Well, this is me, Ricki--a real "blog virgin" and this is my first post--ever!  And this is my first web site, which I made on my own--to my surprise-- with the help of the Weebly.com web site builder.  I've had a lot of pushing and shoving and encouragement from my friend Terry Waldron, whose web site is amazing.  Okay, so I finally purchased my domain name, fiberqwestretreats.com --that is Fiber Qwest Retreats, and yes, the funky spelling is on purpose to emphasize the west coast thing.   My plan is to expand the Fiber Arts Retreats that I have been teaching since 2007, and add more venues and more teachers (like Terry!).   Check out the Fall offerings, and stay tuned as I add more events and details.

So my friends Karen, Vickie, Jan, and Terry all say I need a blog to tell you the scoop.  More will come soon, but right now I am about the hit "publish" button and go live with the web site for the very first time.   After that it will be all about some sleep so I join Terry in the morning to enjoy the opening tomorrow of the California Fiber Artists show in Carlsbad.  You can get more details about the show at www.terrywaldron.com.  Please let me know what you think of my web site, and please share it with your friends.  Quilting and the textile arts are my passions, and I hope to share that love with those who never thought they could sew or quilt--a whole new world awaits!

Content Partnership

Hi!

I’m Josie Moore and I’m part of the writing team over at the The Art of Living Retreat Center. We are a meditation center on a beautiful hilltop in Boone, North Carolina, offering a place to rest, unwind and rejuvenate. It is our goal to provide a space and many different wellness programs to those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and help them relax and reenergize while taking in a magnificent view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

We thought we could bring your readers a piece of that by sharing our articles with you. Our blog has a lot of articles that aim to help bring peace and serenity to the soul, as well as helpful tips to keep your mind and body healthy and nourished. Here’s one article that you can take a look at:

Spiritual Healing Retreats - The Art of Living Retreat Center
https://artoflivingretreatcenter.org/blog/spiritual-healing-retreats/

If you agree to partner with us, we could send you a new article every week, and once you’ve published them, my team would work at promoting your link and help your site gain more traction.

Do you think this is something you can publish on <fiberqwestretreats.com>? Would love to hear what you think.

Thank you,
Josie

Ricki Bremer's love affair with teaching starting while teaching high school and junior high.  Next came 29 years as a craft and quilt shop owner, and the publication of her first book, Simple and Sensational Purses from Placemats, now in its third printing. The second book, Dual Pursenalities followed.  Later additions were the Private Eyes Nursing Apron, and her latest--a microwave hot bag pattern, The AAAhhsum Bag--which has been used exclusively at the massage booth at the Road to California Show. Ricki has continued to use her easy methods to bring the joy of sewing and quilting to beginners and others.  She also loves to simplify things for those ready for more challenging techniques. The Fiber Arts Retreats, which she started in 2007 formerly through the Tall Mouse, are growing and expanding to new venues, and a new name--Fiber Qwest Retreats.  Ricki aims to broaden the interest and opportunities to learn and play in all areas of fiber and the creative arts.
